It’s the first time these two sides have met in the nation’s capital since 2008 and the Raiders head into the game surrounded by off field dramas. Earlier in the week coach David Furner was ousted from his position, alledgedly by a player revolt. Many a footy fan likes subscribing to the theory that when a team aquires a new coach following the sacking of the predecessor, that they will go on to win their first game. Andrew Dunemann is the caretaker for the Raiders for the rest of 2013 but I’m not sure if he can inspire the players to a victory here. The Raiders are on 3 straight losses at the moment and are likely to be without playmaker Terry Campese who will probably join Blake Ferguson and Shaun Fensom on the sidelines. Together they are arguably the 3 best players that the Raiders posess and without them you wouldn’t like to be up against a Sea Eagles side that loves to punish teams lower down the ladder.
