English Premier League:
Burnley vs. Southampton
Sun, 14 Dec 2014
2:00 AM

Total Goals:
Over 2.25

Odds:
1.87 (SBOBET)

Loss
Important game for both sides with tough fixtures ahead. Southampton are on the short turnaround after a 2-1 home loss to Man United on Monday evening. Burnley will see this as an opportunity to catch out a tired Southampton before embarking on a very difficult Christmas period.

English Premier League:
Crystal Palace vs. Stoke City
Sun, 14 Dec 2014
2:00 AM

Draw No Bet:
Crystal Palace

Odds:
1.80 (SBOBET)

Refund
Palace have been really unfortunate in recent games, deserving more from their 1-0 home defeat to Villa and most recently in the scoreless draw at Spurs. Stoke City recorded a remarkable 3-2 win over Arsenal, continuing their good form against more fancied opposition this season. Trouble is that Stoke rarely string two wins together while they have fared less convincingly against sides that don't give them much space.

English Premier League:
Leicester vs. Man City
Sun, 14 Dec 2014
2:00 AM

Asian Handicap:
Man City -1

Odds:
1.71 (Pinnacle)

Refund
Man City will be buoyed after their triumph in Rome midweek, qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions League. In addition, they are boosted by the return of Toure from suspension while Silva and Kompany returned from their respective injuries. Leicester are finding it really hard in this division, recording just a single win at home all season.

English Premier League:
West Brom vs. Aston Villa
Sun, 14 Dec 2014
2:00 AM

Asian Handicap:
Aston Villa 0.5

Odds:
1.76 (Pinnacle)

Loss
Villa will fancy themselves going into the West Midlands derby, undefeated in their last 5 outings. The same cannot be said of West Brom, sitting 1pt above the drop and having scored just a single in their last 5 Premier League fixtures. Ideye Brown returns for the home side after a long injury lay-off but there's bound to be some rustiness. Vlaar and Delph return for Villa to take their place on the bench. If anything, Villa hold the slight advantage with Benteke in their ranks while their recent record in this fixture is a very good one.

Europa League:
Everton v Krasnodar
Fri, 12 Dec 2014
7:05 AM

Asian Handicap:
Everton -0.25

Odds:
1.70 (SBOBET)

Loss
Expect the odds to take a drop. This is somewhat of a dead rubber as Everton are already confirmed winners of Group H while Krasnodar are way off second spot. Roberto Martinez has already confirmed likely starters for this match - Robles, Browning, Garbutt, Kone, Alcaraz, Pienaar, Oviedo, and Barry. In the meantime, the Krasnodar manager will field players from the reserve/youth team set up as his senior players enjoy their mid-winter break which is the norm for the Russian Premier League during this time of year. There's a difference in class and experience between these two outfits. In addtion, Everton will have that extra bit of motivation playing in front of their adoring fans at Goodison Park.

UEFA Champions League:
AS Roma v Man City
Thu, 11 Dec 2014
6:45 AM

Asian Handicap:
AS Roma -0.25

Odds:
2.13 (SBOBET)

Loss
Man City are without 3 of their 'big 4' with the fourth, David Silva, only fit enough for the substitutes' bench. AS Roma were unlucky not to collect the 3pts in the first meeting between these two as City hung on in the end for a 1-1 draw. If we look at today's matchday squad, Roma have strengthened their stocks with De Rossi and Strootman while as eluded to above, City are significantly weakened.

UEFA Champions League:
Chelsea v Sporting Lisbon
Thu, 11 Dec 2014
6:45 AM

Asian Handicap (half-time):
Chelsea -0.25

Odds:
1.77 (Pinnacle)

Win
Jose Mourinho has chosen a strong enough first XI here despite having already progressed through to the knockout stages. Sporting need at least a draw here to secure their progression. On the weekend, Chelsea had their long unbeaten run halted as they went down 2-1 to bogey side Newcastle United. The last thing Mourinho will want is another defeat here. He has shown his intent for this game by fielding Diego Costa up front despite his concerns with his hamstring. In Champions League encounters, Chelsea has led at half-time (at Stamford Bridge) on 15 of the last 16 occasions so I see great value in this pick.

UEFA Champions League:
Liverpool v Basel
Wed, 10 Dec 2014
6:45 AM

Asian Handicap:
Basel 0.75

Odds:
1.89 (SBOBET)

Win
It's win or bust for Liverpool as they face Swiss outfit Basel in the final match day in Group B. Basel lead the Swiss Super League comfortably, winning 3-0 at Luzern on the weekend. Liverpool had their two game winning streak broken in a lame scoreless draw against Sunderland. Liverpool has not convinced at any stage throughout this season and I can't see them just turning on the style this evening, out of the blue. A lot will depend on Gerrard as Coutinho and Sterling are not playing at a consistently high level at the moment. Basel is an organised outfit that hold a good defensive line so they will definitely be hard to break down while remaining dangerous on the break through Embolo and Gonzalez.

English Premier League:
Southampton vs. Man Utd
Tue, 9 Dec 2014
7:00 AM

Asian Handicap:
Man United -0.25

Odds:
2.20 (SBOBET)

Win
Southampton are really struggling for form at the moment with injuries biting hard. The Saints are winless in their last 3 outings while United are in red hot form with 4 wins on the trot. Alderweireld has failed a fitness test which is a big blow for the home side, joining recent casualties Schneiderlin and Cork on the injury list. Rooney returns for the visitors in a big boost for United with Mata and Fellaini finally finding some form. I see the visitors controlling the midfield here and should have enough to record their fifth win.

English Premier League:
Aston Villa vs. Leicester
Mon, 8 Dec 2014
3:00 AM

Draw No Bet:
Aston Villa

Odds:
1.81 (SBOBET)

Win
Leicester City are in a pretty desperate situation at the moment, sitting bottom and 4pts away from QPR (and host of clubs) in 17th position. To add to that, City have a really dire Christmas period to endure so a win here or at least a point here is a must. Villa is the team in the better form - undefeated in their last 4 outings. They were also unfortunate in the 2-1 defeat to Spurs so Lambert is slowly but surely turning his side's form around. I believe Villa has a clear edge here while Leicester's desperate need for 3pts here will mean that they will have opportunities to use their strength - the counterattack.

English Premier League:
Hull vs. West Brom
Sun, 7 Dec 2014
2:00 AM

Draw No Bet:
Hull

Odds:
1.72 (SBOBET)

Refund
Hull broke a run of 4 straight losses with a deserving 1-1 draw at Everton. In comparison, West Brom extended their losing streak to 4 games with a disappointing 2-1 home loss to West Ham. West Brom manager, Alan Irvine, is under severe pressure and this can sometimes be translated to the players. Despite Hull lying a point below their visitors, Steve Bruce is an experienced manager and is better equipped to handle the pressure. The latter also has several players at his disposal to refresh his squad with Aluko, Brady, Ben Arfa, Davies, and the returning Abel Hernandez (from compassionate leave). I watched Hull in their last home game (2-1 loss to Spurs) and they were very unfortunate. I expect them to get the 3pts here.

English Premier League:
QPR vs. Burnley
Sun, 7 Dec 2014
2:00 AM

Total Goals:
Over 2.25

Odds:
1.77 (SBOBET)

Half Lose
This is a traditional 'six pointer' with both sides likely to be battling to avoid the drop come season's end. QPR is in good home form with only a single defeat in their last 6 (at Loftus Rd) while Burnley have a spring in their step after 4 straight outings without defeat. As they showed against Leicester City (3-2) who hadn't scored a goal in 8hrs of football, QPR is rather porous at the back. Burnley has a striker in form in Ings so he should fancy himself here. QPR also have their own striker in hot form in Charlie Austin and he is joined today by the returning Bobby Zamora, a frighting prospect indeed. Must win game for both sides and I expect lots of goals.

English Premier League:
Newcastle vs. Chelsea
Sat, 6 Dec 2014
11:45 PM

Asian Handicap:
Chelsea -0.75

Odds:
1.77 (SBOBET)

Loss
Newcastle are beginning to fall off the standards that saw them win 5 on the bounce. It's no coincidence that Tim Krul's absence has seen a downturn in results. Chelsea got back on track with a convincing 3-0 win over London rival Spurs despite the absence of Diego Costa. He returns today and I suspect will get on the score sheet in a relatively comfortable Chelsea win.

English Premier League:
Tottenham vs. Everton
Mon, 1 Dec 2014
3:00 AM

Asian Handicap:
Everton 0.5

Odds:
1.80 (Pinnacle)

Loss
Spurs have one of the worst home records in the league with 2 wins and 5 defeats at White Hart Lane. They welcome an improving Everton side who are coming off the back of a professional 2-0 away win at Wolfsburg (Europa League), in midweek. The visitors have suffered defeat just once in 11 outings (in all competitions) and welcome back some key men in this one. Baines and Barry return from injury after missing out on the 2-0 win against West Ham while Besic, Coleman and Barkley return to the starting XI. Minus one or two, this is Everton's strongest XI. Everton were very unfortunate to lose here last season but I expect them to get at least a point this time round.

English Premier League:
Southampton vs. Man City
Mon, 1 Dec 2014
12:30 AM

Asian Handicap:
Man City 0

Odds:
1.78 (SBOBET)

Win
Southampton face a serious test of their top 4 credentials as they welcome Man City. Southampton's performances have dropped ever so slightly after that unbelievable 8-0 defeat of Sunderland a month ago. Man City will be going into this in a good mood after they performed the great escape in midweek against Bayern Munich, eventually winning 3-2. In a further boost for the visitors, Yaya Toure returns to action after he was suspended in midweek. I believe Man City will up their intensity for this one as 2nd place is up for grabs. This is unfamiliar territory for Southampton and perhaps a lack of experience in this type of fixture will be their downfall.

English Premier League:
Sunderland vs. Chelsea
Sun, 30 Nov 2014
4:30 AM

Asian Handicap:
Chelsea -1.25

Odds:
1.87 (SBOBET)

Loss
Mourinho has selected the same XI that disgraced Schalke (5-0) in the Champions League midweek. Sunderland has recorded just a single win to date at the Stadium of Light and will have their work cut out getting anything out of this one. Wes Brown and John O'Shea continue at the back for the home side and you just wonder how they will cope with the pace and movement of the Chelsea attack. Chelsea has an extremely good record at this venue and I expect them to stroll to another win here.

English Premier League:
Burnley vs. Aston Villa
Sun, 30 Nov 2014
2:00 AM

Asian Handicap:
Aston Villa 0.5

Odds:
1.79 (Pinnacle)

Win
This looks to be a real nail biter with just two points separating the two. Both clubs have put in spirited performances of late - Burnley picking up 2 wins on the trot against Hull and Stoke while Villa has picked up hard fought draws against West Ham and Southampton. In what promises to be a real tight affair, I find value in supporting the visitors here as they are more than capable of picking up at least a draw. There may be a touch of complacency creeping into the home side's game while Villa do have the confidence to get something from Turf Moor after picking up points against two in-form sides.

English Premier League:
QPR vs. Leicester
Sun, 30 Nov 2014
2:00 AM

Asian Handicap:
QPR 0

Odds:
1.80 (SBOBET)

Win
QPR have been quite strong home, suffering just 2 defeats in their 7 games at Loftus Road. For this encounter, they welcome back their Chilean contingent, Isla and Vargas, for who missed the last outing at Newcastle United (1-0 loss). Leicester City for their part have not managed to score a single in their last 5 fixtures. I see great value in the home side here with a striker in Austin in such great form.

English Premier League:
West Brom vs. Arsenal
Sat, 29 Nov 2014
11:45 PM

Asian Handicap:
Arsenal -0.5

Odds:
1.70 (SBOBET)

Win
Two big inclusions for Arsenal today as Giroud and Koscielny make their first starts following a long period out through injury. I expect Arsenal to continue on from their good form in midweek where they disposed of Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in quite clinical fashion. Martinez was solid in goal, deputizing for Szczesny. West Brom has WON just a single game at home all season, against lowly Burnley. Too much going for Arsenal today.

Europa League:
Wolfsburg v Everton
Fri, 28 Nov 2014
5:00 AM

Total Goals:
Over 2.75

Odds:
1.88 (SBOBET)

Loss
First and second meet in Group H at the Volkswagen Arena in what promises to be a really good game of football between two sides built on attacking philosophies. Wolfsburg will be out to avenge the 4-1 loss at Everton back in September in what was an unjust result for the German side, having created numerous chances. Everton lead the group and need at least a draw to secure their passage into the knockout stages. The English side are improving after a slow start on the domestic front while the 3-0 win over Lille on Matchday 4, last time out, was an extremely impressive outing. A point here may be enough for Wolfsburg to progress depending on the result in the other match in the group between Krasnodar and Lille. I can't see the Bundesliga outfit playing for anything other than a victory while Everton will have a similar mindset.
